Sweet Valentines.

¡Buenos días a todos y Feliz San Valentín! Como ya sabemos todos, después de pasarnos días (incluso semanas) viendo escaparates tornados de rojo y rosa, puestos de ambulantes con rosas especial “para los enamorados”, aunque siga siendo una rosa, lencería, y todo tipo de ideas para este 14 de febrero. Madrid no es ninguna excepción, calles repletas de personas comprando, muchos hombres con cara de perdidos buscando un regalo para sus novias, normalmente en el sitio equivocado, y luego los que ya saben porque lo han hecho antes, cargando con bolsas de Intimissimi o de Calvin Klein. A mí me parece perfecto, estoy a favor de sorprender y que te sorprendan este día. De hecho Jorge lo ha hecho esta mañana con una carta y una foto, algo así de simple que puede traspasar miles de kilómetros. Y es que la belleza está en los pequeños detalles, pero si quieres sorprender a tu pareja justo hoy, os propongo algunas ideas. ¡A disfrutar!

1. ¿Que les apetece casarse? ¿Por qué no hacerlo al más puro estilo Vegas? En el Hard Rock Café de la Castellana, se recreará una capilla en la que un Elvis bastante curioso, casará a aquellos valientes, dándoles una foto de recuerdo. 

2. Para aquellas parejas más dulces, ¡tienen suerte! Starbucks también se ha unido a la fiebre de San Valentín y regalará un trozo de tarta a todas las parejas que hoy pidan dos cafés. 

3. Aprovechando que hoy es el día de los enamorados, y día para estar juntos, ¿por qué no, si tenéis la posibilidad, buscar algún hobby que os una aún mas? ¿Qué tal salir a correr juntos? O asistir a un curso de cocina, o igual de fotografía, incluso ir de compras juntos une mucho, puedes elegir el conjunto de tu pareja para esta noche o para vuestra cita del fin de semana. ¡Dadle a la vena creativa!

4. Si están más creativos hoy, ¿por qué no hacerlo más íntimo? Con una cena en casa preparada por los dos, con una selección de platos que más os apetezca, cocinando codo con codo, un buen postre y un cocktail para terminar. Al fin y al cabo, se trata de un día para los dos. 

Os recomiendo probar este Gin tonic:

• 1 chupito de ginebra (Bombay, Hendricks, G'Vine...). 
• 4 fresas.
• 3 ramitas de hierba buena
• Mucho hielo
• Tónica

Si queréis hacerlo algo más atrevido, tapa los ojos de tu pareja y hazle probar lo que has cocinado, o comprado, a ver si acierta. Una cata de vinos o ginebras también es un plan muy interesante.

Good morning and Happy Valentines’ Day! As we are all aware of, after seeing how the shops have turned red and pink in the past weeks, lingerie in the shop Windows and all kinds of ideas for this 14th of February. Madrid is no exception, streets filled with people shopping, lots of men looking lost while looking for a present for their loved-ones, normally in the wrong place. On the other hand are the ones who already know what they’re doing, probably having done it before, with bags from Intimissimi or Calvin Klein. I think it’s perfect, I totally agree on surprising your loved-one. Actually Jorge did it this morning with an amazing letter and a photo, something so simple can make distance so small between two people. The truth is beauty is in the small things, and if you want to surprise your love today, I propose a couple interasting plans for you.  Enjoy!

1. What do you think about getting married? Why not do it Vegas style? In the Hard Rock Café of Castellana street, there is going to be a recreation of a chapel, where a very amusing Elvis will marry the brave ones, giving them a souvenir photo. Go ahead!

2. For those more sweet couples, today is your day! Starbucks has alto joined the Valentines fever and will give you a piece of cake for every two coffees you order. 

3. Taking advantage of the fact that today is Valentines Day, a day to be together, why not look for a hobby that will bring you closer together? How about going out for a run together? Or assisting to a cooking course, of maybe some photography, even shopping brings you together, you can chose your couples' clothing for tonight or for your weekend date. Let your creativity run lose! 

4. If you're feeling creative today, why not make it more intimate? With a nice dinner at home for the two of you, with the dishes you most feel like, working side by side, a nice dessert and a cocktail to end the day. After all, it's a day for the both of you. I recommend trying this gin tonic: 

• 1 shot of gin (Bombay, Hendricks, G'Vine...). 
• 4 strawberries. 
• 3 sticks of mint leaves. 
• Ice.
• Tonic.

If you want to make this idea a bit more risky, cover your couples' eyes and make them try what you have cooked, or bought, and see if they can guess. Wine and gin tasting are also a good alternative.
